I don’t like Valentine’s Day…let’s just get that out there.
I think it’s a ridonkulous holiday. Sorry if I’ve offended all you V-Day fans out there.
BUT…since the girls were all excited about it being V-Day (because of their school class parties), I thought it would be fun if we had a fondue night to “celebrate”.
The girls totally love fondue. And Lucas and I love it so much, we could stick our faces in the cheese pot and sleep there for the night. You can’t do that? Well, never mind.
And I knew the boys would like it, simply because it’s “dip”.
And I was correct. The boys totally dug it.
Joseph ate all the steak he could fit into his tummy. That’s where he spent most of his time. Well, that’s where Lucas spent most of his time…cooking Joseph’s hunks of steak.
Mathew stuck more to the bread and cheese side of the table. That’s my kind of fella.
I’m not saying it was the most calm, relaxing, enjoyable fondue experience we’ve ever had. It was probably more work than it was worth.
Whatever. I still got to eat melted cheese.
And by the time the main meal was over, Lucas had the brilliant idea to go ahead and put the boys to bed so that we could enjoy a nice calm dessert.
Good call, Sweetie.
Don’t worry, boys. We’ve got plenty of leftovers.
